The NPC’s Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Executive Board will be elected and installed for the next four-year period of 2013-2017.

The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) will hold its Annual General Election Meeting on Wednesday (13 March) at the Hotel Carlton in Brasilia.

The NPC’s Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Executive Board will be elected and installed for the next four-year period of 2013-2017.

The votes will be cast by 13 representatives of the Sports Confederations that are associated with the Brazilian Paralympic Committee and the chair of the Council of Athletes, who will be voting for the first time. The press will be allowed to attend the voting process.

IPC Governing Board member and NPC Brazil’s current President, Andrew Parsons, leads the single slate of officers, which also includes Vice Presidents Mizael Conrado and Ivaldo Brandao. Parsons has held the presidency position since 2009, when he was elected for the first time. The statute of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee allows officers to only run for office twice.

At the meeting in Brasilia, the board will present the Brazilian Paralympic Committee’s annual report for 2012, which will include an auditor’s report by the Audit Committee. Parsons will also present the administrative and technical reports of his four-year mandate.
