Para dance sport athlete representative candidates announced

World Para Dance Sport has announced the two candidates running to serve as athlete representative for the sport.

Belgium’s Sofie Cox and Great Britain’s Paula Moulton are the candidates up for the position. The elections will take place during the Malle 2017 World Para Dance Sport Championships, from 21-22 October in the competition venue (Provincial Formation Centre) in Belgium. All accredited athletes at Malle 2017 can cast their vote for one of the two candidates.

The athlete representative will serve a two-year term on the Sport Technical Committee (STC), acting as liaison between the athletes and sport’s decision makers; and also be the direct link to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletes’ Council.

Slovakia’s Helena Kasicka currently serves as the sport’s athlete representative.
