Four World Championships head another thrilling month of Para sport in September

2017 Para Sport Festival

For the first time ever, the World Para Powerlifting and World Para Swimming Championships will be held together, in Mexico City, between 30 September-6 October. Around 550 swimmers from more than 60 countries and more than 360 powerlifters from 65 countries are expected to compete.

World Archery Para Championships

The world’s best Para archers will be in Beijing, China, between 12-17 September, competing across six events: men’s and women’s recurve open, men’s and women’s compound open, and men’s and women’s W1.

World Rowing Championships

Para rowers will compete across five different classes at the sport’s main event outside the Paralympic Games in Sarasota-Bradenton, USA, between 24 September-1 October.

Kuala Lumpur 2017 ASEAN Para Games

Athletes from eleven countries will compete across 479 medal events in 16 sports, in Malaysia’s capital city, from 17-23 September. https://www.kualalumpur2017.com.my/index.cshtml

ITU World Triathlon Grand Final

The final stop of the World Triathlon World Series will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from 14-17 September.

IWRF Americas Championship

The continental wheelchair rugby competition will be held in Asuncion, Paraguay, from 3-9 September, with the USA, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and the hosts competing.

PTT Asia Regional Championships

Some of the world’s best table tennis players will travel to Beijing for the continental event, from 13-23 September.

PTT European Regional Championships

Lasko, Slovenia, will host the continental table tennis competition, from 26 September-5 October.

IBSA Goalball European Championships Group A

Turkey, Czech Republic, Germany, Ukraine, Great Britain, Finland, Lithuania, Belgium, Sweden and Slovenia will be the ten men’s teams; while Turkey, Israel, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Denmark, Finland and Greece are the top women’s teams who seek to be crowned European champions in Lahti, Finland, from 18-22 September.

IBSA Goalball European Championships Group C (men)

Ciorescu, Moldova, will stage the event between 4-11 September.

World Shooting Para Sport World Cup

The year’s second World Cup event is set to take place in Lonato Italy, from 15-16 September, while the third will be held in Osijek, Croatia, from 22-26 September.

World Marathon Major

Berlin, Germany, will stage the race on 24 September.

Japan Para Badminton International 2017

The seventh Para Badminton International will take place in Tokyo, from 5-10 September, while the eighth will be held in Curitiba, Brazil, from 12-17 September.

IBSA Judo Grand Prix Kazakhstan and Training Camp (open)

Atyrau will be the host city for this event, set to take place between 6-9 September.

World Para Dance Sport "Starlight" Open

The last Para dance sport competition prior to the Malle 2017 World Championships will be held in Hong Kong, on 17 September.

PTT Czech Open

Table tennis players from 26 different countries will gather in Ostrava, from 7-9 September.

BISFed 2017 Americas World Open

Kansas, USA, will receive boccia players from around the continent for this event, from 22-29 September.
