The Croatian Paralympian Foundation (CPF) organised its fourth charity dinner on 1 December under the motto ´Dinner in our way,´ with more than 130 Croatian business representatives and several distinguished guests attending and showing their support for the development of Paralympic sports in the country.

The gala dinner, supported by leading Croatian companies, celebrated the nation´s success at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, where it sealed two golds, two silvers and one bronze to round off its second best Paralympic performance ever.

"I am pleased that so many have come to this dinner to show their support for our exceptional Para athletes,” said Croatian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and CPF Director Ratko Kovacic.

“The sporting spirit of our Paralympians is unbreakable and I am confident that our dinner´s guests realised that. With the resources we have, we will continue building a better future for the community of athletes with impairment and, therefore, for the entire society."

Allianz Zagreb was amongst the main companies which attended the event.

"Through our partnership with the CPC in the last five years, Allianz Zagreb (AZ) has encouraged people with impairment to take up sports and join the Paralympic family,” said AZ Head of Corporate Communications Vanja Bzik.

“This event clearly demonstrated that the practice of sport for people with impairment can bring many benefits and enable a better quality of life.

“We have sent a strong message to our Paralympic athletes, telling them how happy and proud they made us feel during this year.”
