P&G and Archewell Foundation to use Para sports to build better communitiesGlobal partnership aims to make a difference in three focus areas 11 May 2021
Worldwide Paralympic partner Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Archewell Foundation have joined forces to build more compassionate communities by focusing on three areas, including the use of Para sports.
Connected through shared values, P&G and the non-profit of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Foundation have formed a multi-year global partnership to focus on gender equality; compassionate and inclusive online spaces; and resilience and impact through sport.
The partnership will leverage the platform of Para sport to increase visibility and inclusivity. It will build on P&G’s sponsorship of Paralympic athletes and The Duke of Sussex's long-standing work to showcase the power of sport in the recovery of wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans around the world - as creator and founder of the Invictus Games.
In an effort to build gender equity, the two entities will elevate the voices of adolescent girls to ensure they are heard. It will expand on Archewell Foundation’s work with organisations such as Girls Inc. and the National Women’s Law Centre, and P&G’s collaboration with Promundo, an organisation whose aim is to engage men and boys in promoting gender equality and preventing violence.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and P&G have also advocated for greater civility, transparency, and accountability of our shared online space. Through their partnership, Archewell Foundation and P&G will undertake joint efforts to build better online environments that unlock positive, compassionate, and creative spaces.
As a leader in corporate citizenship, P&G has supported people and communities for generations and is committed to being a force for good in the areas of community impact, equality and inclusion and environmental sustainability. Similarly, Archewell Foundation believes that with community, and through compassionate service to others, they can drive and ultimately unleash systemic cultural change, benefiting everyone the world over. Based on shared values, the partnership is focused on doing more for communities, equality and global collective well-being.
