Ten mixed gender teams will compete in the Paralympic wheelchair curling competition, which will be staged at the Ice Cube Curling Centre from 8-15 March 2014.

The World Curling Federation (WCF) and the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee have released the schedule of play for the wheelchair curling competition at next year’s Paralympic Winter Games.

 

The schedule was released during the second annual World Curling Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

Ten mixed gender teams will compete in the Paralympic wheelchair curling competition, which will be staged at the Ice Cube Curling Centre from 8-15 March 2014.

 

The teams are: Canada, China, Great Britain, Finland, Korea, Norway, Russia Slovakia, Sweden and the USA.

 

They will play six days of round robin matches, and then the semi-finals and medal matches will take place on 15 March.

 

Canada will enter the competition as the defending Paralympic champions, having won gold at the Vancouver 2010 Games. South Korea won silver there, while Sweden won bronze.

 

Earlier this year, Canada claimed gold at the World Championships, with Sweden taking the silver and China finishing with the bronze.
