“Coop has the ability to raise the awareness of Para sport and our values in the public through their communication channels.”

Swiss Paralympic and Swiss supermarket chain Coop have extended their partnership agreement until 2019.

With their support, Coop, who has been a partner since 2002, plays an important role that Swiss Para athletes can continue to successfully take part in Paralympic Games, world and European championships.

Besides their financial support, Coop is also looking to use the momentum of the past Paralympics to further promote the extraordinary performances in Para sport.

Veronika Roos, secretary general of Swiss Paralympic, said: “As a federation such a longstanding loyalty of a partner like Coop is extremely important. We can guarantee our athletes a continuous and long-term support throughout their sporting career.

“Furthermore, Coop has the ability to raise the awareness of Para sport and our values in the public through their communication channels.”

Joos Sutter, head of the company management of Coop, said: “We are a convinced partner of Swiss Paralympic. The top performances that Para athletes achieve continue to impress me every time.”
