The NORAM Cup will continue in Salt Lake City, Utah in the USA on 27 February.

A member of Team Canada took first place in 10 of 12 runs at last week’s International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing NORAM CUP in Kimberley, Canada, as Alexandra Starker, Kimberly Joines and Matt Hallat finished atop the podium twice and Josh Dueck three times.

Dueck solidified himself as one of this season’s best para-skiers in the world with first-place finishes in both of the men’s Downhill Sitting runs (1:10.35, 1:09.98), as well as the Super-G Sitting event (1:07.28).

In the two Downhill Standing races, Hallat finished first and second, and he did the same in the Super-G Standing event, falling short of two victories after New Zealand’s Adam Hall beat him by a mere 41-hundreths of a second in the first run.

Seventeen-year-old Starker, meanwhile, won both the women’s Downhill Standing (1:20.65) and Super-G (1:17.24). Joines has continued her success this season after battling three serious injuries last year by winning the Downhill Sitting (1:15.26) and Super-G Sitting disciplines (1:15.56).

The NORAM Cup will continue in Salt Lake City, Utah in the USA on 27 February.
