“I like to see others doing something crazy or bad, but I never do it myself!”

Eighteen-year-old Swiss skier Robin Cuche shook up the men’s standing at the 2017 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

Claiming silver in the super combined, Cuche placed himself amongst the top skiers with just over one year to go until the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.

As he heads towards the Paralympic Winter Games Test Event and World Cup Finals (12-18 March), here are a few things you might not know about the teenager.

“I’m really a food addict.”

“Thankfully, I am doing a lot of sport, because I think I could be more than 100 kilos. It’s better like that. … If I could eat just meat, it would be great.”

“I’m a really big football fan of Manchester United.”

“I like to see others doing something crazy or bad, but I never do it myself!”

“I like to be on Facebook to watch funny videos. Sometimes I have a lot of things to do for school, but I lose myself in funny videos on Facebook.”

The World Cup Finals and PyeongChang 2018 Test Event will begin with downhill on 12 March and includes a full programme of technical and speed events.

Live results will be available at World Para Alpine Skiing’s website.
