The ice sledge hockey gold-medal game between Russia and the USA at 20:00 (MSK) has quickly become the marquee event of the Sochi 2014 Paralympics.

Morning

Russian fans will be eager to see if their cross-country skiing mixed relay team – led by Mikhalina Lysova and Nikolay Polukhin – can live up to the hype and win gold in the 4x2.5km.

Over at the Ice Cube Curling Centre, Russia will play Great Britain and Canada will face China in the wheelchair curling semi-finals, with the winners advancing to the gold-medal match.

Afternoon

The men’s giant slalom alpine skiing races across all classes will be contested, with Austria’s Markus Salcher seeking his third Sochi 2014 gold. But he will have to go up against Russian 16-year-old Alexey Bugaev, who has quickly become a star at the Paralympic level, in addition to France’s Vincent Gauthier-Manuel.

At 15:30 (MSK), the wheelchair curling gold-medal match will take place, with Canada hoping to be playing and defending their Paralympic title.

Evening

The ice sledge hockey gold-medal game between Russia and the USA at 20:00 (MSK) has quickly become the marquee event of the Sochi 2014 Paralympics. The Americans will try to defend their gold medal with the help of goaltender Steve Cash and 16-year-old rising forward Declan Farmer, while Russia will lean on forward and newly named captain, Dmitry Lisov. This is a must-watch for any sports fan, no matter where you come from.
