After successfully launching the first-ever Online Competition in March, World Para Dance Sport has announced the second Online Challenge.
Para dancers will have the opportunity to compete virtually for the second time in 2021.
Entries will be opened for participants from Wednesday, 1 September until 1 October.
Videos with presentations will be uploaded during this time and the performances will be judged by a panel of international umpires in reference to the scoring provisions set out in the World Para Dance Sport Rules and Regulations.
The online competition is open to athletes in the following seven categories:
- Women’s Single Conventional Classes 1 and 2
- Women’s Single Conventional New
- Men’s Single Conventional Classes 1 and 2
- Men’s Single Conventional New
- Singles Freestyle female and male athletes using power wheelchair
- Combi Latin Classes 1 and 2
- Combi Latin New
Results will be published on the World Para Dance Sport website and social media channels after October 17.
Prizes go to first three places
As a courtesy of the DSI London, World Para Dance Sport partner, the winners of each event will be awarded one month’s free access to DSI TV.
The second and third-placed participants will get a 20% discount on any purchase on the DSI London website.
For registration, National Paralympic Committees (NPC’s) or Authorised National Federations have to contact World Para Dance Sport informing their wish to participate.
They will need to send the name and email address of the team leader for this online competition. A personalized link and password to proceed with the registration of the athletes will be sent to those contacts.

As an unofficial competition, results and rankings will not be considered for the World Para Dance Sport World Ranking List.
