He took up the sport at age 14 on Tarout Island, Saudi Arabia.
Why this sport?
His doctor encouraged him to pursue a career in sport. "I was like any other kid, I liked running and football. Once I finished physical therapy I started playing football and became a good player." He then joined El Hoda Club on Tarout Island, Saudi Arabia, where he was introduced to athletics.
