When and where did you begin this sport?
Her mother encouraged her to begin swimming in 1986 to improve her health.
Why this sport?
She was inspired to take up Para sport after watching the Portuguese Para athletes returning from competing at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens. "I was so inspired and motivated that I decided to invest in myself and in my future as an athlete. I never stopped after that."
