The preparations for the events are underway and we expect to have challenging and successful races.

First of all I would like to take this opportunity to welcome to the IPC snow family all the para-snowboarders. The IPCAS SBX has become a new discipline under the umbrella of IPC Alpine Skiing.

The competition season 2012/2013 is about to launch in Australia with the Australian National Championships, competitions that will be held together with FIS.

We have a challenging season ahead as the financial crisis is affecting many teams and organizers in one way or the other. Nevertheless we feel confident so far because we already have a high number of races on the calendar, which is still open to new IPCAS and National races until October.

On the road to Sochi 2014 two big events will take place this season, the 2013 IPC World Championships in La Molina (Spain) in February and the 2012/13 IPCAS World Cup Final in early March on the Paralympic slopes.

The preparations for the events are underway and we expect to have challenging and successful races.

Finally, a new IPC Alpine Skiing web page will be launched very soon and the Facebook page was launched some days ago.
