When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up the sport soon after recovering from his accident in 2012.
Why this sport?
He played a number of sports in high school and university, including athletics, baseball, basketball and especially American football. After his accident he began researching sports for people with missing limbs, and was inspired to take up Para athletics by the success of South African runner Oscar Pistorius.

After attending a party at the University of Southern Illinois in the United States of America in 2012, at which he admits he had been drinking, he was struck by a moving train while crossing tracks.
