The dates of the test events for the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games were announced at an online meeting between World Para Snow Sports and the Beijing 2022 Organising Committee.

Sport managers, the head of World Para Snow Sports and race directors took part in three online sessions, held in the first week of June. Each of the sports, Para Alpine Skiing, Para Nordic Skiing and Para Snowboard, had a dedicated session.

In their presentations, Beijing 2022 representatives showed that they are on track with all preparations for the upcoming test events and the Paralympic Games.

The test event dates were set for March 2021, with races for Para Nordic Skiing to be held from 6-14 March in Beijing, China. They will be followed by Para Snowboard races from 9-16 March and Para Alpine Skiing races from 9-19 March.

All test events will double as World Cup stops in their respective sports.

The current version of the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games competition schedule was also confirmed at the online sessions. In addition, participants were updated about venue preparations and current status of all projects, including the medical plan and training of ski patrollers.

The impact of the global COVID-19 outbreak on the Games was discussed with Organising Committee representatives noting that the situation in China is improving and restrictions on international travel to the country are getting relaxed.

The next meeting between World Para Snow Sports and the Beijing 2022 Organising Committee is set for the end of August. The first on-site inspection is planned for October 2020.

The next Paralympic Winter Games will be held from 4-13 March 2022.
