Goalball continues to grow in Africa as the Ghana Blind Sports Association has announced that it will organise a goalball competition on 25 May to celebrate this year’s African Union Day. Both male and female teams will compete.

The event will take place in the regions of Greater Accra, Ashanti and Brong Ahafo at the Kwame Nkrumah University Campus. Four of the 10 Ghanaian administrative regions will have staged a goalball competition as Eastern has also done it before.

The activity aims to raise awareness of the sport in Ghana and also prepare the regions ahead of the national goalball competitions to be held in the city of Tamale in August 2018.
