26 Aug 2011 By IPC

The International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) Classification Committee will meet in Bonn, Germany, on Monday and Tuesday (29-30 August) to discuss classification code terminology, policies to handle protests under exceptional circumstances and cases of intentional misrepresentation.

The committee, headed by its Chairperson, professor Anne Hart, will also receive updates from the IPC Nordic Ski Classification experts’ meeting and the IPC Academy Classifier Training that took place earlier this summer.

The Classification Committee, which meets at least once a year, is comprised of one chairperson and five at-large members. The purpose of it is to provide advice and consultation on issues related to classification of para-athletes.
