Korean Paralympic Committee Appoints New Secretary General

Jin-Ho Son was appointed as the new Secretary General of the Korean Paralympic Committee, effective 3 January 2012.

Son has previously served as a director in the sports industry department at Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and has held various roles on the international scene, including work in regards to the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

During his inauguration on 3 January, Son emphasized the importance of communication and harmony in the Paralympic Movement and revealed his strong ambitions to lead the development of sports for persons with an impairment in Korea heading into the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
