The Spirit of Gold Collection, a beautiful set of 12 portraits representing some of New Zealand´s most well-known summer and winter Paralympians, will be made available for viewing and purchase at the Royal Easter Show, the largest art show in the country, at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland from 13-17 April.

The portraits were painted during 2015 by well-known artist Amber Stephens, who then gifted them to Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ).

This Collection toured the country with the support of PNZ´s partners in the build-up to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, raising awareness and increasing understanding of Para sport.

It stopped at 85 different locations with over 120,000 people seeing the portraits first hand and a media reach of over 5 million, stimulating conversation and interest across New Zealand.

By purchasing a portrait, people will be supporting PNZ to raise funds for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and Paralympians of tomorrow. The Auction closes on Monday 17 April.

More information is available on Paralympics New Zealand´s website.
