Sport for All has always been considered as one of the main strategies of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Iran, aiming to enhance the social integration and health improvement of people with disabilities throughout the country.

In line with such strategy, the Sport for All Committee has been established in I.R. Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled with the motto of "Social Participation, Fun and Empowerment ".

From its first beginning, the Committee has developed comprehensive plans for promotion of Sport for All in different provinces and so far many programmes such as family strolling, hiking, wheelchair running, rope pulling have been implemented in 23 provinces and totally 8,772 persons have taken part in those events.

It is hoped that in light of short and long term planning of the Sport for All Committee, there will be a further increase in participation of people with different kinds of impairments in such programmes.

It is worth to mention that these programmes have been done in addition to IRI annual National Paralympic Week event.
