IPC Joins Twitter

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has now joined the popular social media website Twitter.

Starting this week, fans of Paralympic Sport have a convenient way to stay up to date with all the latest news and information regarding the IPC, including press releases, athlete biographies, competitions, results and video.

To follow the IPC on Twitter, please visit www.twitter.com/paralympic.

In addition the IPC will also be uploading images from major sporting events, including some from behind the scenes.

Owned and operated by Twitter Inc., www.twitter.com offers a social networking and microblogging service, enabling its users to send and read messages called tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the user's profile page. It has nearly 200 million users around the globe.
