Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
She began swimming at age eight and she has also played basketball. She took up Para athletics in 2007 in Bogota, Colombia.
Why this sport?
As a child she spent a lot of time outdoors so she was inclined to do sports. After her accident, coach Pablo Pena saw her in a wheelchair in Bogota, Colombia, and asked her if she was interested in trying athletics. She did not accept because the practice field was too far from her house. However, a year later she met Pena for a second time, and he once again invited her to start training. "He convinced me. He gave me all the information and that was when my Para sport career began. Here I am and I am happy."
