Sporting philosophy / motto

Impairment
He had a stroke at age eight, which resulted in paralysis on the right side of his body. "I was playing football with some friends, and when I wanted to pick up the ball, I suddenly fell. I remember that I got a little crooked in the face and that I was driven to the hospital. Those at the hospital did not find out what had happened until 24 hours later. I had a stroke and became paralysed on the entire right side. I had to sit in a wheelchair. I could not talk. And I could not write anything. Without the sports training, both my arm and leg on the right side would be worse." (utdanningsnytt.no, 01 Jun 2019; skiforbundet.no, 22 May 2017)
Other information
OCCUPATION
He works as a construction machine operator at Litra Grus, a construction and transportation company based in Lillehammer, Norway. "I am a construction machine operator. I thought the crushing plant in Lillehammer would be an ideal workplace for me. There is less control with the levers in the dumper that I drive than in the excavator that I used at school and during my apprenticeship. I also avoid carrying pipes, and other heavy loads when I work in a dumper."
