Sport specific information

Why this sport?
"It was in sports that I found the answer to my doubts. It is the most powerful way to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities. Sports is an opportunity to leave home, meet new people, feel integrated, improve your physical and mental autonomy, discover the limits and potential, strengthen the self-esteem that is often undermined by a sense of inferiority."

General interest

At age 10 she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa. (, 24 Nov 2017)
Other information
In July 2016 she co-founded FreeMoving, a multi-sports centre for people with impairments. "We believe that teaching sports culture to disabled people is a fundamental example of how we can 'go beyond', to overcome those barriers that are often more a prejudice in our mind than a real difficulty, allowing everyone to realise their individuality respecting and sharing each other's uniqueness and diversity.
Through sports, we are convinced that we can contribute to a real affirmation of the right to equal opportunities, showing that with commitment, perseverance and good will, we can achieve any goal, gaining self-confidence and we think that will be a positive and hopeful message for each of us."
