When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up Para athletics at the Handisport Lyonnais club in Lyon, France. Before that, he had tried judo, karate, archery and football.
Why this sport?
"At first I was just looking for a sport that would suit me. I tried team sports like handball and football, but there were difficulties given my eyesight problems." He and his mother then looked into individual sports and discovered athletics. He joined the Handisport Lyonnais club and the coach soon asked him to go to a competition in Paris to test his abilities. He achieved good results and was encouraged to continue with the sport.

Other information
He trained to become an actor at university. He says there are similarities between athletics and performing as an actor. "I went to a theatre school in Lyon. The training lasted three years. The current situation [COVID-19 pandemic] does not help to land roles, but I am hanging on. There is importance in both disciplines of a certain physical and mental preparation. In fact, I feel that each of these two activities nourishes the other." (, 23 Feb 2021)
