When and where did you begin this sport?
She began swimming at age eight after watching her sister in the pool at a local club in Bend, OR, United States of America. "It was more out of boredom [than anything else], watching my sister do it for two weeks while I just sat there doing nothing. I got up to meet some of the older kids and they became my inspiration to try."
Why this sport?
She enjoys the focus being in the water gives her. "It clears my head. I feel like it's just me and the water and nothing else. There's no clock, no competitors, no nothing."
