Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming at age five and started competing in 2010.
Why this sport?
His parents wanted all of their children to learn to swim for water safety reasons, but initially thought his impairment would prevent him from being able to. However, one day while his mother was in the family pool with other children, he jumped in and swam to her. "I guess he sees the rest of the kids doing it, and he wants to do it too," his mother said.
