Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
He began the sport in 1998 after his spinal cord injury.
Why this sport?
Prior to his spinal cord injury in 1998, his athletic ventures included wrestling, baseball and football. As a result of his previous sporting background, moving into Paralympic sports seemed the logical step to take.

General interest

Other sports
Prior to his injury he was Tennessee state champion in his wrestling weight class and was named All Tri-State in football while at high school. (rogerwrites.wordpress.com, 25 Feb 2012)

Impairment
He fractured his C6-C7 vertebrae in 1998 when he fell while doing construction work. The fall also broke his neck, rendering him paralysed below his upper chest.
