Double world champion wheelchair curler Angie Malone has retired from the sport that has taken her to four Paralympic Winter Games, where she won silver in 2006 and bronze in 2014.

The 52-year-old made the decision after returning from her most recent competitive outing at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in South Korea in March, where Great Britain finished seventh.

Malone who hails from Glasgow, said: “I have made the decision to retire from competitive performance wheelchair curling.

“My curling career has been an amazing experience with many highs and lows, it has been an absolute emotional rollercoaster,” she said.
