The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Americas has granted the Argentina Adapted Basketball Federation (FABA) the right to host the Under 23 2017 Men’s American Zone Championship. The competition will be held 21-29 January in Buenos Aires.

IWBF America’s Competition Officer, Steve Bach said, “The IWBF America Zone is very pleased about this decision and looks with great pleasure to this event.”

The top two finishing teams of the tournament in Argentina will advance to the 2017 U23 World Championships in Toronto, Canada, next July.

The Americas zone will be represented by three countries at the U23 World Championships. Canada (Wheelchair Basketball Canada) is granted a place automatically for being the organiser.

More information will be available on the IWBF’s website.
