RECOGNITION: Japan Paralympic Committee won the award in 2018 for their educational programme for spreading Paralympic Movement and including it in the formal curriculum to educate people on Paralympic values and the IPC's aspirations - to make a more inclusive society for people with disabilities through sport.

The National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and IPC-affiliated organisations can continue to send their entries for the 11th Edition of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Awards, in the wake of the postponement of the awards to January 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee and President of the Award, the award has recognised NPCs in the past for their outstanding work in the development of Para sports in the International Category – Corporate Sport Creativity.

Entries will be accepted until 15 September 2021 under the following updated theme competitions for the Best Sports Initiatives in Programmes or Projects in the sports field such as; Tolerance, Knowledge Management,  Empowering Communities and Overcoming world challenges as COVID-19 pandemic.

British Paralympic Committee won this award in 2016 followed by the Japan Paralympic Committee in 2018.  

The postponement gives an opportunity for athletes and sports institutions to participate in the award, especially with the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games being rescheduled for 2021.
