Rio 2016 Paralympic Games

The world’s biggest Para sport event will be held from 7-18 September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A record number of 4,350 athletes from more than 160 countries will compete in 528 medal events in 22 different sports. Canoe and triathlon will be included in the Paralympic programme for the first time in history.

“I am fully confident Rio 2016 will be the best Games ever in terms of athletic performance,” said IPC President Sir Philip Craven. “You only have to look at some of the achievements from Para athletes over the last two years to realise that we will witness some truly spectacular sport.”

Wheelchair Basketball Texas International Shootout

Pasadena, Texas, USA will host this event between 2-4 September. More information can be found on City of Pasadena’s website.

European Para Taekwondo Championships

Para Badminton International 2016
