Bonn, Germany - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) honoured the recipients of the 2008 Paralympic Order last week as the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games came to a close. This year, the Paralympic Order was given to several people for their commitment to the success of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games in the Chinese capital on 18 September.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is calling for research applications for all projects that are to be conducted during the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, from 12 to 21 March 2010. Furthermore, IPC and IDSF will work together to progress the realization of a single international governing body for Dance Sport, which encompasses Wheelchair Dance Sport.

Bonn, Germany - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) officially announces that only three anti-doping rule violations occurred during the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. All three were in the sport of Powerlifting and happened before competitions began. Because there was no anti-doping rule violation in-competition, the IPC feels the Games to be still a successful showing and of fair competition.

On schedule, and ahead of schedule, the Canadian Pacific Spirit Train arrived at the Sinclair Park Community Centre in Winnipeg today in promotion of the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
