When and where did you begin this sport?
He started swimming before his accident and continued swimming after as part of his rehabilitation, mostly because swimming was the only Para sport that was accessible to him in Kenya. After his family moved to Great Britain in 2005, he tried wheelchair basketball before taking up wheelchair racing in 2007.

Impairment
At age six his family lived in Mombasa, Kenya, when he was hit by a car while walking home from school. The impact shattered part of his spine and he also suffered nerve damage due to improper immobilisation immediately after the accident. He is paralysed from the waist down.
