In 1991 she was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury. "I was returning from a disco in a nearby village on a motorcycle. There were three of us. The driver lost control and we ended up in a ditch. The other two passengers were okay, but I was not so lucky, I fractured my spine."
