He began playing Para ice hockey as part of his rehabilitation.
Why this sport?
A physical therapist suggested he try the sport after his injury. "It helped me forget that I didn't have legs anymore. As soon as you get in the sled, you get on the ice, you start moving around, it's freeing. You completely forget about your disability."
