"This exhibition is another sign that para-sport has arrived in the centre of society."

The German Sport and Olympia Museum in Cologne, Germany, opened a special exhibition on Paralympic sport called “Sport without limit,” on Saturday (24 October).

The exhibition displays the impressive development of sport for people with an impairment, as well as its social relevance and human potential. Large-sized thematic boards, as well as exhibits and video installations, take visitors through some of most memorable moments of the Paralympic Games.

Friedhelm Julius Beucher, President of the German National Paralympic Committee (DBS), said at the opening: “It’s the first time [in Germany] that the history of sport for people with an impairment since 1948 is shown large and emotional pictures. This exhibition is another sign that para-sport has arrived in the centre of society. I recommend to all friends, fans and supporters of para-sport to visit this compelling exhibition.”
