Men’s wheelchair basketball teams from Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea will compete in this weekend’s (15-17 November) Kitakyushu Champions Cup in Japan, where arguably the greatest player of all-time, Canada’s Patrick Anderson, is expected to compete.

After leading Canada to gold at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, Anderson left the court leaving many fans to think he would retire, but he’s now set to play in his first major international tournament since the last Paralympics.

He will be joined on the court by Canadian veterans David Eng and Bo Hedges, along with up-and-coming star Nik Goncin.

At the Cup, Canada will face Australia for the first time since defeating them in the London 2012 gold-medal game. The Australians are hungry to become the best team in the world again and will be led by the likes of Justin Eveson, Shaun Norris and Tristan Knowles.

Joining them will be Japan, who also competed at London 2012, along with South Korea, who will host next year’s IWBF Men’s Wheelchair Basketball World Championships in Incheon.

All games will be streamed live on the tournament’s website.
