Talent, innovation and determination meet on the stage of one of the most anticipated events of 2026: Michele Specchiale, aka DJ Miky Bionic, will officially participate in the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, scheduled for 6 March 2026 at the historic Arena di Verona.

The event is presented as a meeting between artistic expression and symbolic value, in harmony with the theme "Life in Motion", a concept that recalls the language of art and its ability to read a reality in constant transformation, proposing a renewed vision of disability as a dynamic harmony between the individual and the environment.

A living symbol of innovation and rebirth

Michele Specchiale — known as Dj Miky Bionic — is the first DJ in the world to perform with an advanced myoelectric prosthesis. After losing his left arm in a serious accident at a very young age, he transformed his experience into a path of personal and professional rebirth, becoming a point of reference in the Italian musical and Paralympic scene.

His prosthesis uses sensors that can read muscle signals, allowing him to manipulate vinyls, mixers and controllers with extraordinary precision. Technology and art thus come together in a recognisable, engaging and energetic style: Miky Bionic embodies a concrete example of how a condition of disability can be transformed into a creative force, capable of generating innovation, inspiration and a new social awareness.

The Arena di Verona: a historic stage for a historic moment

For the first time, the Paralympic Opening Ceremony will take place in a UNESCO World Heritage site, officially marking the start of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. The Arena, already the protagonist of the spectacular Olympic closure, will once again be transformed into a large open-air theater to welcome athletes, delegations and spectators from all over the world.

The event is produced in collaboration with Filmmaster, the company behind the Olympic Closing Ceremony on 22 February at the same venue. The goal is to give life to a show of the highest artistic and institutional profile, capable of intertwining Italian culture, Paralympic storytelling and contemporary languages.

Music that opens new horizons

Miky Bionic's presence at the Opening Ceremony perfectly embodies the spirit of these Games: inclusion, resilience, social innovation. His performance will be part of a story that celebrates talent without barriers and the ability of athletes to rewrite the boundaries of the possible.

In an Arena that becomes a symbol of history and rebirth, the music of an artist who has made transformation his identity code will help kick off an edition destined to leave a profound mark, not only sporting but human and cultural.
