When and where did you begin this sport?
He began skiing at age three. He took up Para skiing seven months after his accident at age 18.
Why this sport?
He has four brothers who skied at national level in the Islamic Republic of Iran, so he followed them into the sport as a child. After his accident he wanted to remain active, so he began Para skiing as he already loved the sport.

After first competing at the 1998 Paralympic Winter Games in Nagano, he became the first Iranian athlete from any sport to compete at multiple editions of the Paralympic Winter Games when he took part in 2002 in Salt Lake City. Several of his brothers were members of the Iranian national ski team, and have served as his coaches.
