Thousands of Italian school children are set to learn more about the Paralympic Movement ahead of next year’s Paralympic Winter Games after Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 launched the nationwide rollout of I’mPOSSIBLE, the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) education programme.

To coincide with the one year to go milestone to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, IPC President Andrew Parsons, NPC Italy President Luca Pancalli, Paralympic champion Martina Caironi and newly crowned Para alpine skiing world champion Rene de Silvestro were in Cortina d’Ampezzo with pupils from the Istituto Omnicomprensivo Val Boite di Ampezzo e Cadoreto school to launch the Italian version of I’mPOSSIBLE.

Promoted by the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 as part of their Gen26 program, I'mPOSSIBLE will be presented. The project has been made possible with the support of Procter & Gamble (P&G), a global partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Andrew Parsons, IPC President, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that school children across Italy will learn more about the Paralympic Movement ahead of next year’s Games thanks to the support of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.

“I’mPOSSIBLE is an educational program that aims to bring to life the history and evolution of the Paralympic Movement, as well as educate youngsters on the rights of persons with disabilities. Its implementation across Italy by Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is a great Games legacy.”

Diana Bianchedi, Chief Strategy Planning & Legacy Officer of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, said: "On the occasion of the One Year to Go milestone to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, we celebrate the launch of the Italian edition of I’mPOSSIBLE.

“A heartfelt thank you to IPC, NPC Italy, P&G, and all those who contributed to the creation of this program, born from an intuition and a forward-thinking vision shared by many stakeholders committed to shaping the future of our world and younger generations.

“This educational project, integrated into a structured system, fosters social change by breaking down barriers and raising awareness among students through a universal language. With the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, this powerful tool is now taking root in our country as well."

Paolo Grue, President and CEO of P&G Italy said: “With the ‘P&G for Italy’ program and the ‘Everyday Champions’ initiative, we aim to promote access to sports among young people with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive Italy through sports and its values. Sport has the power to break down barriers and create opportunities for everyone: that’s why we are proud to have contributed to the adoption of the educational program ‘I’mPOSSIBLE’ in Italy, a valuable tool offered free of charge to teachers in Italian schools to convey to young people the values of the uniqueness of each person, diversity, determination, courage, and inclusion.”

Originally launched in 2017 in Japan, I’mPOSSIBLE is the IPC’s education program and provides schools with teaching resources, lesson plans, worksheets and inspirational videos to teachers and learners.  With the support of Worldwide Paralympic Partner P&G, the Italian version of I’mPOSSIBLE brings to 42 the number of countries now implementing the education program which aims to provide 6-18-year-olds with a greater knowledge and understanding of inclusion, Paralympic sports, the Paralympic Movement, and its transformational impact on society.
