The Para Biathlon World Championships kicks off on Thursday (12 March) with a German and a Ukrainian set to dominate the women’s vision impaired (VI) events in Ostersund.

Here are the ones to watch:

Clara Klug (GER) vs. Oksana Shyshkova (UKR)

Germany’s Clara Klug will take on the tough challenge of repeating a biathlon World Championship sweep in the vision impaired class.

But the very person she beat out to the finish line trice at Prince George 2019, Oksana Shyshkova, has vengeance in mind.

The Ukrainian medalled in all three biathlon races at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, notably winning the middle-distance title – in which Klug finished with bronze.

Full results from PyeongChang 2018 are available here and from Prince George 2019, here.
